ok, so some of you know by now that computers and technology is something i do make my living at. i like it probably more than i realize because some hate to do this stuff and i guess i understand. my real background is music, it’s a whole other life than being an engineer even though that has changed in the last 30 years.

the news i am getting at is i scored a piano finally in my life. one must wonder well you seem to be making some decent money as an engineer and that answer is yes and no. if you have kids and work as a contractor then that good money is gone. health insurance costs me 800 a month out of a pocket. student loans, car payment, kids and other expenses wipes the rest out.

last july it didn’t stop me, i got a petrof piano used, an almost 6′ grand and it is the best thing i have ever play for that size and for the price. So, i have done numerous recordings which i will present online soon and here is the moral of my blog.

I need to start a paypal fund to keep this piano. I have ideas…. not looking for handouts but I gotta start somewhere. I have tried to return this piano twice since it was a rent to own thing. Each time I got almost sick to my stomach and yesterday i have committed to keeping it. giving it up is like giving up a child, and i know the difference, it isn’t the same, I have children, but it is a good analogy to how i was feeling. Plus the kids love this thing and already playing at 2 1/5 years old is amazing.

So, my idea, www.savemypiano.com is registered, and I will setup paypal there, and each week put up a piece of music that I will write on it. I have other ideas where I would donate to a charity too, a percentage of my paypal donations. Anyone know of good places and how this works online, please comment.

I never made it as a musician because I didn’t try at all really, I started in many ways but raising a family and working full time surely puts the music on the back burner. Well I am back, no screwing around….. i have some pieces already recorded, looking to get feed back on them soon.

Ideas? suggestions? Stupid idea?

To come to think of it, I have donated to other people’s costs, not often but a little while back I supported my friend Andrea to go to China and because I had the money I helped out… some paypal transfer from her website. I’d do it again if I had the money ’cause I know what came out of it for someone like her, passion to learn, travel, teach and guide others. I wanna do the same thing, but thru music.

okay enough rambling… i am posting this and hope i see some feedback.
